Troop Meetings:
 
The Troop holds its regular meetings every Monday from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, unless a different location or time is announced by the Scoutmaster.  
 
Meetings are held weekly, unless there is no school or a holiday.

Outdoor/Activity Program:
The Troop attempts at least one (usually outdoor) activity per month. Check the Calendar for planned monthly activities.
 
Each summer theTroop attends a week long outing to Tomahawk Scout Reservation in Birchwood, Wisconsin. This will typically starts on the last Saturday in July.

Each year a High Adventure is planned for more advanced scouts.

2018 -- Philmont High Adventure Base backpacking was postponed to 2019 due to fires.

2012 -- Florida Sea Base High Adventure Camp

2010 -- Philmont High Adventure Base backpacking in the mountains of New Mexico.
2009 -- Canoeing in the Boundary Waters.
2009 -- Florida Sea Base High Adventure Camp in the Florida Keys.
2008 -- Canoeing in the Boundary Waters.
2007 -- Hiking / Camping expedition to the Grand Canyon
2006 -- Florida Sea Base High Adventure Camp in the Florida Keys.
2005 -- Florida Sea Base High Adventure Camp in the Florida Keys.

Community Service:
Adopt a Highway - Troop 503 participates in the Minnesota Highway Department's "Adopt a Highway" program.  Troop 503 has adopted a two mile stretch of Highway 61 from Highway 50 north for 2 miles.  Road clean-up occurs 2 times a year. Check the troop calendar for specific dates.

Scouting for Food - Troop 503 is active in Northern Star Council's "Scouting for Food" project. 

Eagle Scout Projects - Projects that serve an non-profit organization are organized by Life scouts on their path to the rank of Eagle scout.

 

 

 

 

 

 

   


 

Fundraisers:
Holiday Wreath and Greens – individual sales start in September with delivery in late November, early December.  Percentage of sales go to the individual's scout account.

Trails end Popcorn – individual sales by participation in the Northern Star Council's organized fundraiser.  Percentage of sales go to the individual's scout account.
 
Cub Foods Bagging – (scouts 13 and older) -- individual tips go to the individual's scout account. 
 
Car Wash  – Troop activity where funds raised go into the troop account.
